- Pubs - I’ve been in cafes, bars, meyhanes even, and drinking establishments of all sorts of sizes in at least a dozen different countries, but somehow nothing quite can compare to a pub in Britain and Ireland. Is it the wood panelling? Is it the darkness and and yellow haze? The public house is the neighbourhood’s living room and treated as such and just way more cozy and informal somehow. I give it five stars.

- Oak and Crow Hardcore Coffee - I suppose it was a matter of time, but there is now hardcore coffee. Sure, there is the NYC HC bias, a DMS bag even, but there are three, count ‘em, three beverage choices co-branded with easily your favourite and mine Cleveland metalcore pioneers Ringworm.
- This update from Chill Subs - They don’t really seem to know what they’re doing, experimenting and failing in public but they’re not trying to frame it like they’re amazing entrepreneurs and failing forward and whatever other cockamamy quasi-stoicism, rather just two people who want to do a thing and sort of don’t give a shit if it doesn’t work out without some big hero’s journey bullshit
- Raytracing in Excel - Someone had to do it. I don’t know why, but they did, and all of us can sleep better tonight. I mean, we’ve all been there before, you need to do some 3d rendering and all of the sudden have fallen victim to a post-apocalyptic solar pulse which renders your computer unable to render anything. But you can still make spreadsheets AND raytrace render super shitty, black and white spheres.
- “Fite me solidworks dorks” - There was the Browns vs the Steelers, Metallica vs Megadeth, Julius Caesar vs the Goths and a litany of historical feuds that we all know and respect through the ages. However, shit-talking and calling out an entire software user base is epic on so many levels.
- Studenten fütter (“student feed”) - So there you are, it’s mid-afternoon and man alive could you use a snack, but want a natural and healthy one that combines peants and raisins in a delightful medley of goodness that can’t be beat.
- I’m sure the lack of respect the graphic design of high school year book covers received over the decades incenses you as much as it did myself, rest assured, someone has finally brought the genre it’s due.
