I still don't miss you Photoshop

It’s over 9 months without Adobe software so far and I’ve been absolutely fine. I haven’t had to do any last minute animatics with fire and letters moving about, although I would love to, but that frankly isn’t my job at this point no matter how much I might like to pretend it might be.

I find it incredibly weird that I even still have to think about this or even half worry about it but that’s the state of the design industry and our practice at this point but one that I believe is quickly changing. One company has owned just about everything and not done a lot about it, as would be expected, and that to me is just plain wrong.

So get Sketch and Pixelmator or Acorn and Affinity or any among the others of small design software releases out there because they are making things that just enough good and aren’t giving a hammer instead of a paper clip to get bits of paper together.

Things made from real life adobe, like this house in New Mexico, are generally quite simple and easy to understand. Things made from software adobe isn't so much.
